The moment of the tritol explosion in the apartment of the judge of Shkodra, Tonin Sterkaj, is published, while today the High Judicial Council is expected to meet to take a decision regarding the defense of judge Sterkaj.
The security cameras in Judge Sterkaj's apartment filmed the perpetrator dressed in dark clothes and wearing a mask, who entered the alley on foot and after approaching the gate, placed the explosive and left on foot.
The event was condemned by the Supreme Court, the Minister of Justice, Ulsi Manja, and the Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, who have asked to reveal the authors of this serious act, while the Supreme Court is expected to come out today with the decision on the defense of the judge.
A small amount of tritol was placed on the morning of April 28 at the door of the apartment of the judge of the Court of First Instance in Shkodër, Tonin Sterkaj. At the time of the explosion, the judge and his wife were in the apartment. The main track of the investigation is related to Tonin Sterkaj's duty as a judge, however, other tracks are being investigated.
Judge Sterkaj was questioned, but his testimony did not help the investigators. He stated that there were no major issues under consideration and that he has not received any threats recently.
For many years, Tonin Sterkaj has been a judge in the court of first instance in Shkodra, while for a period of two years he also worked as a judge in the Court of Appeal of Shkodra. After the closing of the Appeal, Sterkaj returned as a judge in the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Shkodër.
