Journalist Ervis Iljazaj has spoken about the situation of the Democratic Party and the support for former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, especially after it was seen that the Gazment Bardhi group joined the daily gathering below his apartment.
According to Iljazaj, today the PD electorate is divided into Berishistas and non-Barishistas.
He said that until recently, Gazment Bardhi had not yet joined Berisha as he thought he could be the "chosen one" of the United States of America.
However, after Bardhi's visit to the USA, Iljazaj said that he decided to join Berisha.
"Berisha has his own followers, he has his own political representation, even though he is in this situation. This time, the other deputies, who remained neutral, sat in the middle and saw where the ball went. Once they were in the majority with Basha and then they went with Berisha. And in the end they surrendered to Berisha's leadership. This confirmed once again that the right today is divided into parists and non-parists. They thought they would use Berisha's electorate and today the opposite happened.
They had the illusion that they were chosen by the Americans, when they saw that they were not, they went to Berisha because they had no other way," said Iljazaj in Euronews.
