The lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu spoke about the creation of a sovereign Bektashi state. He emphasized that the Bektashis recognize Mecca as a spiritual center and there is no need to create a second Mecca in Ali Demi.
Spahiu explained that this state can increase competition between believers. Among other things, what worries Spahi most is the inequality of the right to religious belief in Albania.
"If we start with this logic. Even the declaration of Kosovo is a precedent in international law. No nation on the planet has two states with 4 million inhabitants. There are 100 million nations and they have no autonomous provinces. And no longer have two states. If we start from the fact that it is used by Serbia, China is not interested in this part. We do not start with this concept. Of course, it is a precedent that will undoubtedly be misused every problematic step. What worries me is the inequality of the right to religious belief in Albania.
The Bektashis know Mecca. They go to Mecca, now we want a second Mecca in Ali Dem so that the Bektashis of the world come to Ali Dem. It's a kind of sarcasm. I have my feeling that inequality can upset the balance in Albania. We are a small people with several religious beliefs. We must have a state that guarantees the religious equivalence of belief. It can increase the competition among believers", said Spahiu for "Report Tv".
