Beleri was left in prison, Greece follows the old saying: They are trying to stop his swearing in as mayor

The dismissal of Fredi Beleri's request by the Special Court to change the security measure has been called by the Greek Foreign Ministry as an attempt to stop his swearing in as the mayor of Himara.

Through a short press statement, on its official website, the Greek Foreign Ministry stated that his detention is only for political purposes.

Also in the statement it was said that official Athens is closely following the developments and expects respect for the right of innocence, until the trial, a fundamental element of the rule of law, from the neighboring country.
