SPAK sentenced Gentjan Çollak to 4 years in prison for spreading terrorism propaganda

The Special Court has sentenced Gentjan Çollaku to 4 years in prison for the criminal offense of incitement and propaganda for committing acts with terrorist intent.

Due to the shortened trial, Collaku will only serve 2 years and 8 months in prison.

The Special Prosecutor's Office asked for a sentence of 4 years and 6 months in its claim. Gentjan Çollaku, originally from Kavaja, was arrested by the anti-terrorist after calling for terrorism on social networks.

He was kept under surveillance since 2021 by anti-terror agents, while GJKKO accepted SPAK's request and assigned him the security measure of "prison arrest".

He used 16 different profiles on the social network Facebook from where he posted calls for ISIS and against the global anti-terrorism coalition.

In some of them, he expressed his pro-Islamic state views and demanded an end to the war against them, as according to him, ISIS has fighters who do not sleep.
