The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has requested the removal of the "compulsory appearance" security measure.
It is learned that the case was registered today at the High Court. This court has registered the recourse of the former prime minister, who was taken on trial by SPAK for "corruption", against the decision of the Special Appeal of January 3, which imposed the measure of "obligation to appear" against him.
Jamarbër Malltezi, the son-in-law of the former prime minister, has also filed an appeal with the High Court, seeking to overturn the decision of the Special Appeal, which left the "house arrest" security measure against him unchanged.
The measure of "compulsory appearance" against Berisha was announced on January 3, 2025 by Judge Engert Pëllumbi, who lifted the measure of "house arrest".
