For journalist and analyst Andi Bushati, SPAK has gotten out of control, as he referred to the investigations that special prosecutors are conducting against the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.
According to Bushati, SPAK is not accountable to anyone, causing everything to escalate.
What is worth noting, for Bushati, is the fact that who cares that Mayor Erion Veliaj is hit so hard that he ends up behind bars.
" It's a continuation of the decisions taken before. When I first read the file, it couldn't be his file. Keeping someone in prison for so long with the same things, with the file he has, these intimidations of witnesses, is more the wife than Veliaj. The same thing happened today with Veliaj, even with the increase in time with Meta. You understand what these out-of-control beasts are, they don't answer to anyone.
Every democratic country where we take SPAK as a model, citizens and no longer officials are kept in prison for nothing. Here everything is rigged. If Meta is known why they are doing it to him, with Veliaj we say what they are doing to him is injustice, who is doing it to him and why?! We need to discuss where SPAK got the order from, who cares and why they are degrading this new justice to this point , "he said on "Syri TV".
