Who will lead the BKH? From Gledis Nano to police officers and investigators,

Here's who has expressed interest in leading the "Albanian FBI"...

Some of the candidates for the National Bureau of Investigation are revealed. After the departure of Aida Hajnaj, SPAK opened the competition to all interested parties and people from both inside and outside the BKH have shown interest.

Undoubtedly the most well-known, most talked about and most prepared name is Gledis Nano, the former director general of the police.

But journalist Anila Hoxha has revealed the names of several other people. One of them is Gentian Ndoi, a career officer in the State Police for 25 years, known for leading Operation Force of Law and currently head of the Economic and Financial Crimes department. Ndoi submitted his candidacy at the last moment, according to sources close to SPAK.

There are two active candidates from the BKH: Joni Keta, the current deputy director of the Bureau, who has recently appeared in activities with special prosecutors and international partners; and Elton Kërluku, an investigator in the economic crime sector. According to sources, Kërluku had previously expressed ambition to take over the leadership of the institution, but later withdrew.

In addition to them, the name of Marinela Pilinci, a Judicial Police officer at the Korça Prosecutor's Office, with a background in the field of justice, is also mentioned.

Another name mentioned is that of Mentor Cuku, a BKH officer with extensive experience in justice, who has denied having submitted his candidacy.

The selection committee has not yet published an official list of candidates, but it is expected that interviews will begin in the coming days and their platforms for leading the BKH will be considered.
