The National Bureau of Investigation (BKH) has today announced 10 vacancies for the position of Judicial Police Officer, as part of the strengthening of its structures in the fight against organized crime and corruption.

Institutions where positions are offered:


An officer – Directorate for the Investigation of Economic and Financial Crime, State Police

An officer – Directorate Against Organized Crime, State Police

An officer – Cybercrime Investigation Directorate, State Police

An officer – Anti-Terrorism Directorate, State Police

An officer – Border and Migration Department

An officer – Police Supervision Agency

Two officers – Directorate of Investigation, General Directorate of Taxes

Two officers – Directorate of Investigation, General Directorate of Customs


The deadline for submission of documents by candidates is October 30, 2025.

According to the official announcement, the OPGJ is tasked with:

– To act as a point of contact/liaison between the BKH and the originating institution (or other law enforcement agencies), ensuring rapid and secure exchange of information and, when permitted by law, controlled access to the databases of these institutions. All data is made available to the prosecutor and investigator in the required procedural format.

– To search for and identify the perpetrators of criminal offenses that fall within the jurisdiction of the Special Prosecution Office, using every means permitted by law.

-To carry out without delay any action ordered or delegated by the special prosecutor, under his direction and control, in constant coordination with the designated investigator of the BKH.

– To notify without delay the prosecutor of the case and, with the latter's permission, the relevant investigator of the BKH, of the results of the procedural actions carried out by him.

– To undertake the necessary procedural actions for the execution of criminal court decisions (e.g. inspections, seizures, personal and property security measures), in accordance with the Code of Criminal Procedure.

– To draft and administer procedural acts according to formal requirements and deadlines set out in the law, ensuring full traceability and integrity of evidence.

– Participate, upon the prosecutor's call, in working meetings and joint analyses with the investigator of the case and other relevant structures, contributing to the planning and pace of investigative actions. The Judicial Police Officer does not exercise a leadership role over investigative/procedural activity.

– To carry out investigative actions specifically delegated by the prosecutor (e.g. taking statements/evidence, search and seizure actions, verifications at public/private institutions), reporting regular progress.

– To collect, verify and process data and information from any lawful source, in function of criminal proceedings, respecting the legislation on the protection of personal data and relevant international standards; the materials are forwarded without delay to the prosecutor and the investigator.

– For the preliminary information (intelligence) administered, inform the Deputy Director and the Director of the BKH for the purpose of institutional coordination, without violating the procedural chain of direction from the special prosecutor.

– To cooperate with state bodies, law enforcement agencies and other public/non-public institutions, according to the law, for the provision of information, the implementation of procedural actions and the implementation of judicial decisions.

– To implement the internal rules of discipline and ethics of the BKH and the Special Prosecution Office. To guarantee and maintain correct behavior in working relationships and to respond with integrity to legal requirements.

– To respect the prohibition on the publication of procedural acts and any information derived from them, as well as the restrictions on official communications, according to the legislation in force and relevant orders.

– To fulfill any other duties provided for by legal and sub-legal acts and to implement the strategic objectives/priorities of the BKH and the Special Prosecution Office.
