The Special Court against Corruption and Organized Crime has announced the verdict in the criminal case against Pandeli Bozha, father of Limonera Bozha, former candidate for deputy of the Social Democratic Party in Fier, and Vladimir Lushkaj, accused of electoral corruption.
According to the official announcement of the Special Prosecution Office, Pandeli Bozha was charged with the criminal offense of “Active corruption in elections”, while Vladimir Lushkaj was charged with “Passive corruption in elections”, provided for by articles 328 and 328/b of the Criminal Code. The trial was conducted in a summary procedure and concluded with decision no. 1, dated January 13, 2026.
The panel, composed of judges Etleva Deda, Irena Gjoka and Bib Ndreca, found Pandeli Bozha guilty and sentenced him to 1 year and 6 months in prison, which, after the application of the sentence reduction due to the summary trial, was reduced to 1 year in prison. However, pursuant to Article 59 of the Criminal Code, the execution of the prison sentence was suspended, and Bozha will remain on probation for a period of 24 months, provided that he does not commit any other criminal offense.
Meanwhile, the court also found co-defendant Vladimir Lushkaj guilty of passive corruption, but pursuant to Article 52/b of the Criminal Code, decided to exempt him from criminal punishment.
