Lawyer Kreshnik Spahiu has stated that Erion Braçe's possible candidacy for mayor of Tirana should be accompanied by a strong approach against high-rise construction and the granting of permits for towers.
In an interview for "Today Live in Albania" on Report TV, he emphasized that this issue must end and that, according to him, Braçe is the person who can bring about such a change.
Spahiu stated that, if Braçe receives the support of the Socialist Party and runs, he should take measures to limit the influence of the construction sector and stop issuing permits for new multi-story buildings in the capital.
"If Erion Braçe is going to be a candidate who seems to have the support of the SP, he must definitely declare war on the construction mafia. Only Braçe can create a distance between these businesses that manage with black money and announce a decision not to grant permits and towers that have overpopulated Tirana. The history of towers must end in Tirana. The only one who can exert pressure, negotiate and find a middle ground is Erion Braçe ," said Spahiu.
