Hackers affiliated with the Iranian group "Homeland Justice" have claimed to have carried out a cyberattack on the systems of the Supreme Court and the General Prosecutor's Office in Albania.
According to their statements, they have managed to secure documents and data of a judicial nature. However, the General Prosecutor's Office has reacted to these claims, stating that up to this stage, no signs of such interference have been found.
The Authority emphasizes that the situation is being continuously monitored by relevant experts.
"Due to the interest in the possible hacking of the official website of the General Prosecutor's Office, I would like to inform you that from the verifications carried out by IT security experts, no compromising traces have been found so far in the form of hacking. Our IT staff are continuously monitoring the situation," the prosecution stated.
About a week ago, hackers said they had attacked the Albanian Post because of its ongoing cooperation with the Mujahedeen (Iranian opposition), some of whom are in the camp in Manëz, Durrës. Previously, experts were not aware that the Iranian group had obtained important data and that the postal services had full access to it.
On March 10, Homeland Justice also attacked the Parliament by publishing emails from MPs that included announcements about plenary sessions or the work calendar.
