The increase in fuel prices has also led to an increase in public transport tickets in the four cities of the Dibër District, particularly affecting intercity lines.
According to the data, the ticket price for the Peshkopi-Tirana line has increased from 500 lek to 600 lek. A similar increase has been recorded on the Bulqizë-Tirana line, where the ticket has increased from 300 to 400 lek per passenger, writes BW.
Likewise, the Burrel-Tirana line has also increased, with the ticket price increasing from 400 to 500 lek.
Citizens say that this situation is directly affecting their family economy, as the increase in prices has not been accompanied by an increase in income. The most affected are pensioners and families receiving economic assistance, who are facing increased expenses.
They are demanding state intervention to offset the rising costs of living and services.
"The ticket price has increased by 1 thousand lek. We have no way to pay. Because we don't have any. We are husband and wife, only a pension. I just want to take the mule now!", said a resident.
Price increases have also been observed in transportation from rural areas to urban centers, although at lower levels compared to intercity lines.
