Recently, several people have been arrested in the country on charges of domestic violence. Today, another serious case of domestic violence occurred in Tirana, where a 34-year-old man kept his wife locked in the apartment and abused her.
The 34-year-old Asqeri Mandri was arrested on Tuesday by the Tirana police after abusing his wife and keeping her locked in the apartment, where he monitored her through the cameras he had installed.
This is the second case discovered in a few days, after Jetnor Zhabol, who had "locked" his wife, mother and children in the apartment, which he monitored with cameras and blocked their phone waves.
Psychologist Manolita Hida emphasized that individuals who commit such actions have mental health problems, as they fail to perceive reality as it is.
Focusing on the increasing cases of violence, she said that this is because the perpetrators do not receive the punishment they deserve.
" What is raised as a concern is that we are dealing with individuals who do not perceive reality as it is. And in this context, all aspects of the individual's normal functioning are maladaptive. Are we dealing with mental health issues? Yes, because the individual does not know how to behave and goes to extreme acts that harm other individuals around him, such as his wife, parents or even children.
First, the part of time should be analyzed to understand the impact that the events have from one to the other. If we are dealing with a copied model, that was learned elsewhere and where did this come from. Second, as I pointed out, we are dealing with individuals who are obviously part of mental health problems as long as they cannot separate a healthy behavior from an unhealthy one and establish self-judgment mechanisms and understand that the action is wrong. We are dealing with individuals who have a weak inner critical sense ", said the psychologist in "ABC News".
