A serious incident occurred at noon on January 2 in Orikum. Llogora Xhebroj, 52, killed his wife, Sose Xhebroj then ended his life, an event that occurred in the couple's apartment.
According to family members' testimonies, they had had constant conflicts and had separated about two years ago, only to reunite later, but the conflicts had continued and they were recently in the process of divorcing.
A family member has shed light on the incident and the couple's conflicted relationship, which led to the dramatic development, with two victims. He said that the couple had been married for almost 20 years and that he was not aware that they were in the process of divorcing. He said that the children, the couple's two sons, are traumatized after the serious incident, where they lost their mother and father on the same day.
"I heard about the incident on TV. It had been 2-3 months since I had seen Llogora. He had not expressed any concern to me. I may have met Sosa about 2 months ago. They had been married for about 20 years. I don't know that they were in the process of divorcing. I didn't know anything. I found out when the incident happened. The children are traumatized. They are still recovering. I was at the funeral. Just as it affected Sosa's family, it affected us too. It shouldn't happen to anyone. I didn't know how things turned out. I can't accuse anyone. Llogora was a fair, just person. They were both regular, they worked together. They were a regular family like any Albanian family. But when you don't meet someone, you know the problems. The man and the woman were buried separately. It's a misfortune that I don't wish on anyone," said the family member.
