The continuous snowfall in the north of the country has blocked the road from Qafa e Thora to Theth.
Due to the lack of snow clearing, the tourist spot of Theth has been isolated, bringing serious consequences for tourism and the local community. The images sent by the residents of Theth show the critical situation, where the thickness of the snow has reached from 50 cm to 1 meter.
Since 3 days, movement is possible only for high vehicles, while it is impossible for vehicles.
Meanwhile, today the Mayor of Shkodra, Benet Beci, has reacted on social networks, indicating that this road has already been opened.
"Good morning! After several hours of blocking by avalanches, the Bogë-Theth road near Qafë Thores is now open. Contracting firms have been working throughout the night to enable the opening of this road segment.
Drivers are recommended to use chains and winter tires to avoid any danger and to travel safely", writes Beci.
