Snowfall has 'invaded' some of the northeastern areas of the country. Temperatures have also seen a significant drop today.
As a result of the snowfall, the State Police appeal to drivers of vehicles and motorcycles to exercise increased caution.
Police advise drivers to reduce speed and use winter tires and chains.
"As a result of the bad weather with snowfall in Dibër, Kukës and Shkodra, the State Police appeals for EXTRA CARE for drivers of vehicles and motorcycles.
Drivers are advised to reduce speed and maintain a safe distance from other vehicles. It is important to respect road signs, follow the instructions of the Traffic Police services and avoid unnecessary movements in areas with difficult traffic, mainly in mountainous areas. In case of travel in areas affected by snowfall, vehicles should be equipped with winter tires and chains.
"Snowplows and snowplows continue to work intensively to clear snow and spread salt. In case of need, call the toll-free number 112 and the Police services will come to your aid immediately," the police appeal states.
