The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana has issued 20 security measures for fraud with cryptocurrencies in Tirana and Shkodër.
It was an operation that was done with stimulation by the agents. These people advertised on social networks that they exchanged cryptocurrencies.
6 of the security measures are Exchange owners who were breaking cryptocurrencies on their premises while it is not legal to do so. While the other people are their associates, or individuals who advertised such an activity on social networks.
The prosecuting authority has suspicions that we are dealing with money laundering. The investigation was carried out by the prosecutor Ardian Dyrmishi, after the information received and it was the latter who took the agents to these points to carry out the exchange.
"So far, as part of this operation, the security measure "arrest in prison" has been executed, set by the Court of Tirana, for 17 citizens, as well as controls have been carried out in 32 premises in Tirana and Shkodër. As material evidence, computer equipment, mobile phones and significant sums of money were seized.
