Hita at the meeting with the Spanish ambassador: More joint operations against drugs, weapons and illegal immigration.
The Director General of the State Police, Skënder Hita, hosted a meeting with the Ambassador of Spain to Albania, Gabriel Cremades Ventura, where the strengthening of cooperation in the fight against organized crime and international trafficking was discussed.
During the meeting, the results of joint operations, such as "Nomada" and the Joint Investigation Team, in combating drug trafficking, weapons and illegal immigration were evaluated. Hita emphasized the need for increasing joint operations and expanding real-time information exchange.
For his part, Ambassador Ventura praised the State Police as a reliable partner and expressed the willingness of the Spanish authorities to further deepen cooperation in the field of security.

The Ambassador of Spain, H.E. Gabriel Cremades Ventura, visits the General Directorate of the State Police.
The Director General of the State Police, Director Madhor Skënder Hita, welcomed Ambassador Ventura to the premises of the DPSSh, accompanied by the Attaché of the Spanish Ministry of Interior and the Liaison Officer at the Embassy of Spain in Tirana.
During the meeting, the excellent relations and strategic partnership built over the years between the two countries in the field of security were appreciated, emphasizing effective and concrete mechanisms such as Operation "Nomada" and the Joint Investigation Team, with tangible results in the fight against drug and firearms trafficking, as well as the illegal movement of immigrants.
Director Hita confirmed the determination of the State Police to intensify this cooperation, through increasing the number of joint operations and expanding the exchange of information in real time.
He also emphasized the cooperation between the Security Academy and the National Police School of Spain, which will serve to modernize teaching and professional training of the new generation of officers with contemporary methods and curricula.
Meanwhile, Ambassador Ventura expressed gratitude for the hospitality and praised the commitment of the State Police as a reliable partner in the region. He also confirmed the willingness of the Spanish authorities to intensify cooperation with the State Police in other areas, with the common objective of combating international crime and guaranteeing the security of citizens.
