This Monday, a trial panel was appointed to try former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi and other actors accused of corruption and money laundering in the well-known "Partizani" case.
Regarding this issue, the former head of the National Intelligence Service of Albania (SHIK), Fatos Klosi, emphasized that things have now been finalized and all parties are prepared to face each other in Court.
He stressed that the Court will not "suffer" much to come up with a decision on this case, in which the country's former Prime Minister is the defendant.
"They have seen the evidence, they have organized it, they know what they will ask for, how they will ask for it and they know the articles. This is preparation. As long as they have decided to go to court, this means that they are preparing to defend the accusation in court, and the defense is prepared to face the court. I say let's wait for the trial. If Berisha is innocent, let him defend himself in court. I have no information on what was written there, both sides know. Let's leave it to the court. The prosecution has said its word. The trial will not be that long and things have been handled. The court will not suffer much to make a decision, now let's wait for the decision ," Klosi told "AbcNews".
