The Special Court passed for trial the file against former socialist MP Jurgis Çyrbja on charges of leaking state secrets, supporting the perpetrator of the crime, and electoral corruption.
Part of the file is also Altin Hajri and Ahmet Masha, whose lawyers requested a summary trial, just like Çyrbja.
The former MP is accused of exposing police actions, extracting data from TIMS and other information to help wanted persons avoid capture.
The SPAK file states that former MP Çyrbja had a friendship with Altin Hajri, promising the latter that he would help him in exchange for votes during the elections.
Çyrbja and Masha are being held in custody, while Hajri, who is also wanted for the kidnapping and disappearance of Jan Prenga, has authorized his lawyer to represent him in this process.
Çyrba was arrested on October 20, 2024, by order of SPAK. He was a member of the Assembly for two legislatures, and resigned from his mandate in October 2024, at a time when SPAK's investigations had entered their final phase.
