Authorities in Kosovo arrested three foreign nationals and one Albanian national on February 10, 2026, in connection with suspected criminal plans in Albania. The news was made public on the investigative show 'Në Shënjestër' by journalist and author Klodiana Lala.
Among those arrested are Dimitri Kirilin, a Russian citizen, and two Belarusian citizens, Aliaksander Padhaiskii and Pavel Petrov. Gerald Brahimaj, a suspected member of Inez Hajrulla's group, was also arrested.
Authorities suspect the group was planning to carry out murders in Albania. According to reports, their departure from Albania was interrupted after two cars were stopped in Babicë e Madhe. The stopped vehicles, a Nissan and an Audi Q5 with foreign license plates, contained three cans of gasoline and a total of 112 DNA samples were seized.
Kirilin and the Belarusians are suspected of having moved in the company of people associated with Hajrulla, while Brahimaj is suspected of having accompanied them during the illegal border crossing. Kosovo authorities suspect them of illegal border crossing and further investigations will seek additional information on their activities./ 'Në Shënjestër'
