A fire broke out on Tuesday afternoon in the village of Krajkë, in Bulqizë, covering an area of bushes and approaching residential areas.
The fire spread rapidly due to strong winds, making it difficult for residents to control the situation. Local structures are expected to intervene on the ground to isolate the flames and avoid further damage.
The situation is often linked to the burning of grass on agricultural lands and meadows, a practice that in many cases leads to the uncontrolled spread of fire.
Such cases are repeated every year in the Bulqiza area and wider in the Dibër district, causing damage to forest areas, mainly oak trees.
Authorities are calling on residents to avoid starting fires during this period and are warning of punitive measures in cases where responsibility for forest damage is proven.
