Former Prime Minister Sali Berisha continues to resist justice, in relation to the case for which he is under investigation, for the privatization of the "Partizani" complex. According to the decision, Berisha must appear in court on the first and third Monday of every month, at 10:00, but so far, the former prime minister has ignored this decision twice.
Journalist Anila Hoxha, speaking on the show "Breaking" with Fiori Dardha, stated that the Special Prosecutor's Office can wait until the beginning of December and then, it is forced to impose a more severe measure on Berisha. According to her, SPAK will turn to the Council of Mandates with a request to remove the mandate of MP Berisha.
" If Berisha does not appear, he is expected to be assigned a heavier security measure. The Special Prosecutor's Office can wait until the first and third Mondays of December, after which it will turn to the Council of Mandates with a request for Berisha. The former prime minister is obliged to appear at 10 o'clock in front of an officer, as SPAK has made many attempts for this decision and it is expected that it will already be considered notified. So, SPAK will wait until the beginning of December and if he does not appear again, no more attempts will be made to notify him. SPAK is protected from prejudices and accusations that it is a political attack and therefore can wait for the first week.
On the other hand, the Appeal will also judge on Monday the appeal of Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi, where it will be decided whether the security measures will remain, namely, the obligation to appear for Berisha and prison arrest for Malltezi.
However, Berisha has a precedent for not appearing at the Prosecutor's Office even when there were other cases against him, such as the last one, where he was denounced for defamation by the mayor Erion Veliaj, said Hoxha .
