While commenting on today's decision, analyst Arjan Curri said that his relatives and colleagues advised Salianj to make a legal mistake, admit guilt before the amnesty and then benefit.
But he refused because of his honor, Curri points out in "Top Story", while adding that with that decision he would leave politics forever.

This court removed him from politics for several years, but with that decision he would be permanently removed from politics, because of this sentence he is the de facto leader of the opposition. He has made several reports about how close he got to Xhafaj's brother... today is a black day for Albanian democracy, be careful when you get close to our senior brothers.
