Former senior police officer Shemsi Prençi has spoken about the decision of the Appeal to sentence Democratic Party deputy Ervin Salianji to 1 year in prison.
Prençi describes it as a political punishment, while he says that in Albania the only thing left is to restore the death penalty.
Shemsi Prençi accused politics of hijacking justice, stressing that there was no full investigation.
"In my opinion, every red line has been crossed for Albanian justice. We have two very bitter realities, a young deputy of the Parliament of Albania denounces a family of the world of crime, subject to the anti-mafia. A person convicted by final decision in Italy.
