A deep family conflict has erupted in the Musta family in Tirana, over the ownership of a simple apartment, leading to violence between the mother and her children.
Mother Sofia Musta is facing violence and threats from her son, Ardian Musta, who after his second marriage, wants to live in the same apartment. Ardian has kicked his sister, Entela Musta, and her son out of the house, and after being reported, Ardian ended up in prison.
Sofia's mother lives alone in the apartment and has installed a camera to monitor events, as Ardian, despite the protection order, threatens her with insults and uses violence. In one of the recorded arguments, Ardian says inappropriate words to his mother and asks to close the room, which he claims belongs to him.
"My name is Sofie Musta, I'm 75 years old. I never get along well with my son, he's 51 years old. He's in a second marriage, I met him and brought him to my house. I took him and told him that I don't have a house here, because I have a daughter and a son of a daughter. No one puts him above me, he helps me and does everything for me. As for my son, violence after violence, even the police shouted at him. The son pulled the son away by force and the daughter intervened. I reported him, he went to prison for the second time, because the first time his wife took him there. He beat him," says mother Sofia.
The sister, Entela Musta, has received a protection order and says she is afraid to return to the apartment due to her brother's aggressive behavior.
"I want to be here, but he prevents me. Once he said, 'Come here, but don't let your son come.' Once he told us that if you go there, I'll kill you three. Now, I don't know what this talk is about. I'm afraid to come. I'm open to negotiations for me to stay here, and as far as he's concerned, I'll give him something so that he can pay the rent and I can stay with my mother. One of the reasons is the property, the 1+1 apartment. The main problem is that of ownership," says Entela.
Entela has set up a camera in her mother's apartment, and in one of the recordings, the son, Ariani, uses very inappropriate language towards his mother. He had entered the house, violating the "protection order" measure.
Sofie Musta, complainant: You got a protection order, again.
Arian Musta: No, I haven't received a protection order, because you don't have any kind of evidence to file a protection order.
Sofie Musta, whistleblower: I have facts. I don't trust you, because you're killing me.
Arian Musta: That's how the girl took five million lek. There's no need for a court case at all. I have my share here. My room will be closed here, period!
Sofie Musta, whistleblower: You won't lock your room, as long as I'm alive, not once! You called your mother a "whore".
Arian Musta: You are a whore!
Sofie Musta, whistleblower: Whore am I?
Arian Musta: Yes, you are a whore!
Ariani claims that he doesn't bother his sister and that she caused his legal problems, putting him in jail, after she seeks to take ownership of the apartment.
"I haven't bothered him at all, I'm in a rented house. It's been a long time since I've been home and I haven't bothered him. The whole problem lies with the ownership, he wants to take his sister and kick me out," says Arian Musta./ Tvklan
