US expert talks about the 800-meter underground fortress where Iran keeps its

Foreign policy expert Adrian Shtuni, who has lived in the United States for years, told "Top Story" that the US is involved in defensive functions in the Israel-Iran conflict.

" The US is involved in this conflict, but in defensive functions, they are protecting Israel with air defense. Israel does not need military support at this moment, beyond defense, because it has one of the most sophisticated air fleets in the world. Iran, on the other hand, has F-14 aircraft, which were sold before 1979, and some old Russian aircraft. There is no comparison between Iran's strength and Israel's strength ," he said.

Asked by Grida Duma if there is a nuclear risk, Shtuni replied: " We have a lot of information that has been given for years that Iran is pursuing a military nuclear ambition, not for civilian use, but for military reasons. If uranium is enriched from 5 to 20 it is used for civilian reasons, anything that goes above 20% goes beyond civilian reasons. In various statements, it appears that uranium enrichment has reached up to 83%. They have the largest part of the resources that are up to 60% in Isfahan. Israel has not hit those types of resources, because it will not create nuclear pollution, but Fordow, which is 800 meters underground, is where they keep their main capacities. Israel does not have the capacity to destroy that type of bunker ."
