Criminology professor Ervin Karamuço said that Nesti Angoni, who also filed the complaint against Mayor Erion Veliaj, is suspected of being a former financier.

"In my opinion, there is a witness for the prosecution in the case of the ongoing investigations, it is about a former financier who provides very accurate data. A former financier of businesses who provides very accurate data that has set up an investigative track, which has led to these measures that we see today and to those volumes that will go to court tomorrow to be reviewed and to give a decision.
"No one could know either the purchases or the way the money, flights, hotels and everything was managed in a political aspect. These are very technical, financial and to some extent legal and are very clear," Karamuço said on the "Now" show on Euronews Albania.
