Criminalistics expert Ervin Karamuço has spoken about the criminal events that have been the effective focus of the State Police.
He has commented on the case of Shkodra, where police officer Kastriot Selimaj was put in a car with a tear gas. Karamuço says that in the last 24 months there have been eight cases of placing explosive materials in apartments or vehicles owned by police officers.
"In the last 24 hours, we have three cases, in which there is a serious threat to life, yesterday, where that day dawned with a serious event like the one in Shkodra. We have the eighth case within two years in Shkodër of placing explosive materials in objects or vehicles of police officers" , he said to "Abc News".
According to him, these attacks come as a response from the gangs, as the Police of Shkodra is a champion when it comes to actions against cases of trafficking and cultivation of narcotics.
"They are a clear message to change the attitude towards gangs in the northern city. The district administration of Shkodra is the champion administration for the actions it has taken against the cultivation of narcotics, more than 100,000 cannabis roots have been destroyed and this has provoked a reaction among the gangs that cultivate cannabis" , said the expert.
Also, a police officer was attacked with a knife in the city of Durrës, this Thursday. For this case, Karamuço said that the Police should know how to intervene accurately in such cases, since people who have sharp weapons in their hands can also cause loss of life in the ranks of the Police.
"The police should be careful how they intervene and neutralize these people. The police must know how to intervene, not physically, because it could cost us the life of an officer", concluded Karamuço.
