
The Prosecutor General, Olsian Çela, stated that all line institutions, special prosecutors, judicial police have the necessary capacity and maximum inter-institutional commitment to achieve results in preventing and taking measures for electoral crimes. He pointed out a series of measures that have been taken with the aim of increasing the efficiency of cooperation between institutions in this regard.
" Thanks to the cooperation with our partners, we have now reached another important phase related to the preparation of the Prosecution institution for the electoral process ," he said.
The Prosecutor General praised the engagement of civil society in cooperating with institutions in the fight against electoral crimes.
" It is important to bring civil society, which has stood out with its role in the electoral field and electoral crime, and those on the ground, such as prosecutors and judicial police officers, to the table."
In this context, the exchange of experiences, the discussion of priorities in the investigation of electoral crimes, but also the familiarization of prosecutors and judicial police officers with the phenomena of irregularities observed during the electoral process, their assessment in some cases as violations of the law that constitute a criminal offense, will be an innovation not only in raising the awareness of prosecutors and police officers about what happens during the electoral process, but will also make them more sensitive to understanding the importance of our role during this process.
"What we aim for is the rapid transmission of information, real-time assessment of any signal for any violation that constitutes a criminal offense ," said Çela.
