Lawyer Spartak Ngjela has commented on the opposition's hope and enthusiasm for Donald Trump's victory. He said that the chances that Trump will lift the prison sentences of Meta and Berisha now that he came to power are zero. Njela said that America cannot interfere in the judicial power in Albania.
"It is politics, they are sentenced to prison and they are both arrested. Will Trump remove his sentence, it's naive, how can he enter the judicial power, you know that SPAK is controlled by American expertise to save the country from corruption", said Njela for "Report TV".
Asked about the polls which show a low public trust in the opposition, Ngjela said that the opposition can no longer come to power, since according to him Berisha no longer has support.
The lawyer said that Berisha's family is all accused of corruption, while strong accusations "burden" him.
"It does not rise because they are discredited in power, they should have brought out new leadership. There are no votes Saliu. He called them under the window and how many were there. There is no more electoral power. Berisha has a criminal charge brought against him as a family, he has strong charges. They are all with the son-in-law accused of corruption and it is not known where their wave will go. Because the signs are that they have started talking about their son, so the world press is talking. The Berisha family is in a serious condition" , said Ngjela.
