The government is granting a 15,000 lek bonus for people with disabilities on the occasion of the end-of-year holidays. The decision was approved at the last meeting of the Government for 2025, and the decision includes families and individuals receiving economic assistance, people with disabilities, the blind, paraplegics and tetraplegics, as well as personal assistants of beneficiaries of disability payments.

In accordance with Article 100 of the Constitution, Article 5 of Law No. 9936, dated 26.6.2008, “On the management of the budgetary system in the Republic of Albania”, as amended, and Law No. 115/2024, “On the 2025 Budget”, as amended, upon the proposal of the Minister of Health and Social Welfare, the Council of Ministers
decided
1. The following categories will benefit from financial support for 2025, in the amount of 15,000 (fifteen thousand) lekë:
a) Families and individuals who are treated with economic assistance according to Article 7 of Law No. 57/2019, "On Social Assistance in the Republic of Albania", as amended, including those who benefit from the additional fund on top of the conditional fund for economic assistance;
b) Children without parental care, placed in foster families;
c) Persons with disabilities, according to letters "b" and "c", of Article 8, of Law No. 57/2019, "On Social Assistance in the Republic of Albania", as amended;
ç) Individuals benefiting from the status, according to Law No. 8626, dated 22.6.2000, “Status of paraplegic and tetraplegic invalids”, as amended;
d) Individuals benefiting from the status, according to Law No. 8098, dated 28.3.1996, “On the Status of the Blind”, as amended;
dh) Personal assistants of beneficiaries of disability payments, according to letters “c”, “ç” and “d” of this point.
2. The financial effects resulting from the implementation of this decision are calculated at the amount of 2,227,500,000 (two billion, two hundred and twenty-seven million, five hundred thousand) lekë and are covered by the budget allocated to the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare for the year 2025.
3. Unwithdrawn financial support expires after 30.6.2026.
4. The Ministry of Health and Social Welfare is responsible for the implementation of this decision.
This decision enters into force immediately and is published in the "Official Gazette".
