The head of OSHEE, Enea Karakaci, presented today the plan of measures taken by OSHEE Group to guarantee uninterrupted electricity supply during the year-end holidays.
Among other things, the head of OSSH, Bledian Dalipi, highlighted the investments made in the energy sector.
Dalipi said that yesterday the peak load was reached as of 2025, 29.2 million kilowatt hours of consumption.
He assured consumers that they will guarantee uninterrupted supply not only for the holidays, we are in the winter season.
"The DSO operates in the field through 4 main units. There are also 11 regions for medium and low voltage. We reached the peak load yesterday as of 2025. 29.2 million kilowatt hours of consumption, the peak is reached on December 31, the increase in demand and energy consumption in the network has been a trend for more than two years.
We note an increase in energy of no less than 7%, it is a big load for the network, we need to have more capacity. Through investments by the OSSH, we have made it possible to have a more stable and secure network throughout Albania. Consumers notice that in many areas there are no more interruptions. We have intervened in 12 substations. Investments have also been made in medium voltage lines.
In addition to investments, we also have a lot of work to do with field teams. For 2025 alone, in the high-voltage network alone, we have made deep interventions in substations. We have reached the last consumer. We will guarantee uninterrupted supply not only for the holidays, we are in the winter season, which puts us on the highest alert. There is a team that monitors the loads throughout the distribution network every hour. In addition to the teams in the dispatch centers, we have additional personnel. New Year's Eve and the entire holiday period will be closed properly. " he said.
