Tomorrow, Muslim believers around the world begin the holy month of Ramadan. During this blessed month, Muslim believers observe fasting, one of the 5 conditions of Islam.
The head of the Albanian Muslim Community, Bujar Spahiu, today congratulated the Albanians for the start of the holy month of Ramadan.
He added that this month is an opportunity for believers to cleanse their souls and bodies and should not be seen as a diet month.
"The blessed month of Ramadan is an extraordinary opportunity and favor that God has given us to purify the soul and body.
Ramadan is not a month of diet but a month of worship, through which man has the golden opportunity to achieve God's pleasure, and through this achievement to prosper himself with goodness in this world and the hereafter.
In the Qur'an and in the hadiths of the Prophet (pbuh), Ramadan is described as one of the greatest blessings, after the prayer that God has given us.
Ramadan is spiritual purification in the first place" he said during the congratulation.
