SPAK's summons for January 21, Ngjela: If he does not appear, Berisha will

Nearly 15 years after the state crime of January 21, former Prime Minister Sali Berisha will face SPAK for the first time.

Lawyer Spartak Ngjela said such a development comes after international pressure. He added that the leader of the Democratic Party is forced to go after having been prime minister.

"Time should have moved on, but this is after the international intervention, of high and judicial institutions, but also political ones. It is not an easy thing to kill 4 people, in a peaceful gathering. Berisha was prime minister, he is forced to go. Basha was also interior minister and of course. We are under investigation, we are not in court, they are not defendants. But the fact that this is internationally requested, to clarify what happened, who killed them, why they were killed and who gave them the orders, must be investigated," said Ngjela.

The lawyer explained that according to the Criminal Procedure Code, if Berisha refuses the summons more than twice, he will be forcibly escorted to the Special Prosecution Office.

"The summons is rejected once, the second time they take you by force ," Ngjela told "Report TV".
