At the peak of the summer season, at the border crossing points of Qafë-Thana and Kapshtica, there was an influx of travelers who entered the territory of Albania to spend their holidays.
According to the latest data, it turns out that just one day ago (August 10), 7,449 people entered Kapshtica while 4,837 others left.
Meanwhile, 5,551 citizens have entered the Qafë Thana border crossing, while 4,988 others have exited.
The queues stretch up to 2 kilometers, mainly on the segment coming from the Greek side towards the border crossing point.
High temperatures, at the height of the day, are significantly making the situation difficult for travelers, including families with children, the elderly, and tourists returning to the country for summer vacations.
Meanwhile, at the Qafë Bota border crossing, the Albanian authorities are working with 3 active counters, while the Greek side operates with only 2 counters.
