The flow of movement on the border between Kosovo and Albania has increased significantly this weekend, as thousands of citizens from Kosovo have chosen the Albanian coast to spend their holidays.
Data from the Border and Migration Police in Kukes shows that during the first hours of Saturday alone, 10,874 Kosovo citizens entered Albania with 3,712 vehicles.
The Morina border crossing has handled most of this influx, remaining the main entry point for Kosovar holidaymakers traveling to Albanian coastal destinations, such as Durrës, Shëngjin, Velipoja, Vlora and the southern tourist areas.
To avoid delays and long lines, border authorities have implemented expedited procedures for vehicles with Kosovo and Albanian license plates, enabling faster passage of passengers.
The high number of arrivals confirms once again the great interest of Kosovo citizens in spending their summer holidays in Albania, which continues to remain their most favorite tourist destination.
