Interior Minister Taulant Balla says that the new order that has been issued for police officers who must fill out self-declaration forms for the purity of their image, is part of the efforts for self-cleansing of the State Police.
Speaking to journalists, Minister Balla said that one wrong action by a police officer is enough to undo all the achievements of the police organization.
Those policemen who lie in filling in the contact form with unsuitable persons will be caught in the trap.
According to Balla, the aim is for the State Police to return to the most reliable institution of the citizens.
"We will do everything related to our fundamental goal, to guarantee that every Albanian citizen has faith in the State Police. And strengthening this trust is related to our efforts to further the process of self-purification of the police, it is related to our efforts to guarantee better salaries for police officers, but also police officers must understand that we have everything requested related to the implementation of the code of ethics, one inappropriate communication is enough to cause an irreparable damage to the organization of the State Police and everything is related to the image of our Albania. There are 14 million foreigners who visit Albania.
One bad behavior is enough to destroy all the work done by the State Police organization. The State Police's results so far are results that deserve respect. But we are still far from what we want to be as an objective to make the State Police the most trusted institution in the country. Those who lie will be caught by the charku", said Balla.
