Journalist Klodiana Lala was invited to Euronews where she discussed the tragic event that shook Shkodra, where three people, including an innocent woman, lost their lives in an assassination attempt.
She emphasized that, although tributes were planned for the victims, no citizen showed up at the scene.
According to Lala, fear and the mentality of the area have influenced the citizens' decision not to go out.
"Keep one thing in mind, it's a situation where people are scared because going out and identifying themselves in a protest, even for tributes, to send a candle where an innocent woman has been killed. We're just taking it to that lady, with no connection to the criminal events, writing with her husband at his job. And gets hit by a vehicle. "Citizens don't come out because they are afraid because the mentality works there, Kanuni works, the moment you pay homage, those who committed the assassination will look at you tomorrow as a possible target," said Lala.
According to Lala, this situation indicates a climate of fear in Shkodër, where citizens feel threatened to express their solidarity.
