Analyst Arben Meçe spoke about the "Gërdeci" tragedy, where 26 people lost their lives and around 200 others were injured in the weapons dismantling factory. But still after 16 years there is no one responsible.

In an interview for "Abc News", Meçe said that he is confident that the new justice will work, despite the long delay that has been done to this case.
He emphasized that he added that this murder also revealed the trafficking of weapons, which according to him was done for personal purposes. Meçe added that the summoning of Shkëlzen Berisha as a witness is not accidental, since according to the analyst it is related to arms trafficking.
"Ms. Durda has a 10-year history and has stated that she did not have faith in justice, and thanks to her persistence and conviction, this accident case managed to be treated as a crime. He managed to achieve a victory even though with disbelief, today we have a trial at these levels. Today, the minister is on trial for a qualified criminal offense, and in addition to the minister, investigations have also been carried out for a chain implicated with Gërdec. Gërdeci is also a process of trafficking weapons for personal purposes. For Gërdec, it was related to the geopolitical situation in the Israel-Hamas war, Hamas was using weapons from Albania. A great truth, the services also exploded in Gërdec, since in Albania the greed of an installed group reached the point where they supplied Hamas with land rockets and Israel was also hit with these rockets.
Trafficking is also one of the main tracks of Gërdec, murder dismantled the scheme, but after that we don't have, we are dealing with arms trafficking, Shkëlzeni is connected with this arms trafficking. I am convinced that the new justice has to reveal and make a legal fact, those who scripted the process of dismantling and trafficking weapons that were going to the war zones", said Meçe.
