The security expert Fatjon Softa has spoken about the arrest of the former director of ARRSH, Evis Berberi, who said that it is an indicator of the great corruption in the governing institutions of the country.
In an interview for "Ora News", Softa requested that the investigation be extended not only to the level below him, but also to superiors in terms of the decision-making hierarchy.
He added that the investigation should be deepened for all tenders awarded not only by this director, but by all other directors before him, as there have been accusations and allusions to corrupt affairs over the years.
"This case is an indicator of the great and overall corruption that has dominated the institutions and especially in ARRSH where his predecessor is also under investigation by SPAK for corruption and abuse of road tenders and the high value of roads, where we have the opportunity of hearings in large numbers through these tenders.
Here we are talking about large monetary values and about a person who comes from a strange career ladder, from advisor to director, leading two important institutions of Albanian taxpayers.
And the investigations that have already started against his activity, where, in addition to accusations of corruption and abuse of office, SPAK raises the accusation of money laundering.
I think that the investigation should be deepened for all the tenders given not only by this director, but by all the other directors before him, as there have been accusations and allusions to corrupt affairs over the years.
And the relationship of Barber should be seen, not only with those who are specifically accused, but also the connections he has with subordinates below, or superiors above, because it is not possible that he acted only with these people", said Softa for "News Hour".
