The Special Court has postponed to July 11, at 10:00, the 2-month information session of former Prime Minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi.
In a statement to journalists, his lawyer Genc Gjoktutaj said that these postponements are pointless as they have no facts, according to him.
"We request the replacement of the measure because the issue is missing in essence. Whether they extend the deadline or not, a case that does not have a story yet described by the prosecution, of course it should not be extended, but the legal solution should be taken, which is the termination of the investigations. They must call to mind that even if they make another forced extension, they have nothing in the inventory in terms of evidence. I call on them to undertake a proper legal action once in their life because the investigations have been extended in a direction that has nothing to do with corruption ", he said.
