The Supreme Court 'rejects' Jamarbër Malltez's request,
Jamarber Malltezi

Jamarbër Malltezi will continue to remain under house arrest for the Partizani affair. The Supreme Court has not accepted his appeal to revoke the security measure.

Malltez's defense has also used the case "Gëllçi v. Albania" as a legal argument, which he won in Strasbourg, where the European Court of Human Rights found that SPAK held him in detention without sufficient evidence and did not consider the possibility of lighter security measures.

But, despite this argument, the Supreme Court decided not to accept Malltez's appeal, which is rejected for the umpteenth time.

"The rejection of the appeal filed by the applicant Jamarbër Malltezi against decision no. 88 (87-2025-127) dated 14.04.2025 of the Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime", announced the Supreme Court.

The Partizani affair case has gone to trial and the first preliminary hearing will be held on June 30th, with Berisha, Malltez and three others as defendants. The former prime minister's son-in-law will face justice for passive corruption and money laundering, while Berisha himself will face justice for corruption.
