The court of Vlora has given Vangjel Tavos the mandate as mayor of Himara. The decision was taken the day before, September 18, by judge Artan Çirraga.
After familiarizing himself with the relevant documentation, the Court of Vlora assessed him as legal and then gave him the mandate to run the municipality of Himara.
Tavo is already expected to swear in the Municipal Council to take office, as the mandate was also confirmed by the CEC on September 12. Both KAS and the Electoral College certified the elections in Himara, assessing that the result is indisputable, since no violation was found that would change the election result.
The elections in Himare were repeated on August 4, after Beler's mandate was declared invalid due to the conviction by the GJKKO Appeal of 2 years in prison for vote buying. Tavo, the candidate of the socialists won with a margin of 1477 votes against the opposition rival Petro Gjikuria.
