Attack of the criminal group in Vlora, Balla: Investigations started last summer, we increase cooperation with SPAK

The Minister of the Interior, Taulant Balla, reacted to today's action, as a result of which one person was arrested and two others were declared wanted.

Balla explained that the investigations started last summer after the arrest of a person.

According to the minister, the prevention of criminal events is the primary duty of the State Police.

Among other things, he also evaluates the cooperation of the police with SPAK as excellent.

"Prevention of criminal events is the primary task of the State Police. The arrest of a person in the summer of last year in Vlora, while he was preparing to commit a serious crime against the person, by the State Police and the very professional investigation of several months under the direction of one of the SPAK prosecutors, has led to the identification and placement under accusation of three members of a structured criminal group. This operation and this efficient form of cooperation between the State Police and SPAK are an excellent example of going to the end to clarify many criminal events. Also congratulations to the State Police in Tropoja, Fier, Tirana, Durrës, Vlora, Elbasan, Gjirokastër, Dibër, Shkodër and Muriqan, the National Security Force and the Directorate for Serious Crimes in the DPSPH. During the last 24 hours, an arsenal of firearms, combat ammunition, military uniforms, narcotics and other illegal items have been seized," Balla writes in his response.
