The arson group that was caught with Molotov cocktails at the opposition protest on Friday appeared before the Tirana court today for a security measure.
The prosecution has requested the security measure of prison arrest for 5 of them, house arrest for 2, and mandatory reporting for 4.
They are charged with "assault in the line of duty", "disturbing public peace", "destruction of property by fire", "resisting a law enforcement officer" and "unauthorized production and possession of dangerous devices".
Meanwhile, the DP has sued the Minister of Interior, Besfort Lamallari, Police Chief Skënder Hita, and the entire Police leadership chain, arguing that they directed the action against opposition protesters and used bear spray against them.
