Lawyer Kujtim Cakrani says that the last SPAK operation was a failure as it did not come as a result of investigations but information provided by international partners. According to him, finding the large amount of cash seized during this operation was accidental and not a result of a proper investigation.
During today's day, it is planned to communicate the security measure to the persons arrested during the SPAK mega-operation. It is about 14 people arrested in Albania, the measures for which were executed by the police.
The court session started around 10:00, but was postponed due to the request of the defense lawyers. They asked the jury to adjourn until 13:00 to familiarize themselves with the court documents and the investigation file.
We remind you that as a result of the file known as "Metamorphosis 2", 7 criminal groups were hit. 6 people have been arrested outside Albania, while 30 others have been declared wanted.
From this investigation, alliances between groups to hit each other were discovered. Arrest warrants were issued for well-known figures of the world of crime and they included former MP Arben Ndoka and 4 police officers.
The authorities seized large amounts of cash, gold, jewelry and armored cars, the value of which is around 3 million euros. Thanks to this investigation, SPAK has also revealed a series of criminal events and sensational murders that happened a few years ago.
