Greece has been engulfed by numerous fires, while yesterday 18 people lost their lives, including children.
Despite the Tirana-Athens tensions, vehicles from the fire service of the Korca district have headed towards Greece to help put out the fires in the neighboring country.
It is about 2 vehicles and 9 fire service workers from Maliqi and Korça.
Sources indicate that fire service workers will be part of civil emergencies in the area of Alexandropulis where they will participate in extinguishing the fires that have engulfed this area in recent days.
The same source said that depending on the situation, the possibility is not excluded that the fire service of the prefecture of Korca will send other vehicles and workers of this service.
It must be said that in the past years in similar situations in the forests of Cerje and Dardha, the Hellenic fire service has come to the aid of the Albanian counterparts to extinguish the fire from the air.
