Investigations into "January 21", Hekuran Deda's brother leaves

Today, Zabit Deda, the brother of Hekuran Deda, one of the victims of "January 21", was summoned to the Special Prosecution Office (SPAK).

After leaving SPAK, Deda stated that he had told them about what was asked of him for the murder of his brother. He hopes that the murder of his brother on January 21 will be solved.

"We told them what they asked us, we hope it will be clarified. Yes. The other brothers will also testify, you will see ," said Zabit Deda.

SPAK is conducting numerous investigative actions in relation to 3 criminal offenses for which an investigation has been registered, starting with that of murder under qualifying circumstances, abuse of office and actions that impede the discovery of the truth.

For at least 6 months, SPAK has carried out a series of investigative actions, including questioning people with knowledge, such as the former head of the state police at the time of the murders, Hysni Burgaj, and his former deputy, Agron Kuliçaj. Likewise, the audio recording tape submitted by the family members to SPAK, where the orders of the guard leaders to shoot at the crowd of protesters are heard, is undergoing an expertise at the SPAK laboratory to prove its authenticity.

Members and deputies or former deputies of the Socialist Party who participated in organizing the protest held 14 years ago have also been summoned to the prosecutor's office.
